This kimono is like a coat called Michiyuki.
 
It is worn when going out, but the difference from a haori is that it must be taken off indoors.
 
Inside the dyed vermilion mold called “Matsukawabishi”, there is a square white frame called “Shibori” that is made by hand one by one.
 
This technique called shibori is very time-consuming, so it's expensive. Also, on the inner back fabric called the Douura, there is a folded illustration of what is now called a comic book called “Ezoushi”, and you can enjoy the various cover designs.
