Material: Silk
This kimono is called Tomesode and is the highest formal attire worn by married women.
The family crest, called umebachi, is dyed in the upper centre, both sleeves, and the front.
The designs include pine, bamboo, and plum blossoms, as well as peonies, bellflowers, and camellias on the fan, all of which are gorgeously depicted.
It is made using a very time-consuming technique in which a design is drawn on a temporary kimono, then unravelled, dyed over the design, and then tailored again, so
as a result, when displayed like this, it becomes one picture without being cut off by the seams.
Kimono is something to wear, but also by displaying it in this way, you can see its true beauty.
Model height : 173cm
