Material: Silk

This kimono is called Kuro (black) Tomesode, and is the highest formal dress worn by married women at their relatives' weddings.

They designed birds playing in the calm flow of the river, swaying aquatic plants, and the roofs of the houses on the island where the ferry boats come and go.

The faintly blurred picture frame on the black background creates a fantastic atmosphere, and it has a very elegant finish that is suitable for the best formal occasions.

As for the colours, they deliberately avoided using gorgeous colours, and expressed a quiet contrast between the transparent light blue of the water and the light brown of the sandy beach.

It is a valuable item in good condition.

This is a family crest called "Maru ni Chigai Taka no ha".

The motif is the hawk's feather, which has been a symbol of the samurai since ancient times, and it is a family crest that was favoured by many samurai families.

Takamori Saigo, who was famous at the end of the Edo period, also used this family crest.

Tomesode is the highest formal attire, so it is decided to have five crests. A total of 5 crests are placed on the centre of the back, around the elbows of the sleeves, and on both chests. Of course, it was used a method called "Nukimon" that prevents the family crest from being dyed before it is dyed on the black background.

This is the history of this kimono before they meet you.

Now they will make another history with you.
